Company Founder
MicroDecisions Inc. was founded by Dr. Peter A. J. Liggatt who presides as CEO and CTO. Liggatt is a native of England who moved to the United States in 1980. In England he attended the University of Cambridge where he earned his doctoral degree in Gravitational Quantum Physics.
Liggatt originally began MicroDecisions in 1982 as a computer programming consultant actively involved in creating and maintaining portions of the Airline Packet Switching System for Aeronautical Radio Inc.
During the ensuing years Liggatt was introduced to the public records and real estate data industry through his professional experience as a real estate broker and principal of a Florida-based commercial real estate brokerage. In the mid 1980’s he began changing the direction of business for MicroDecisions towards providing data to real estate related industry professionals, using his background in telecommunications. As he began developing and compiling MicroDecisions’ specialized database, MicroBase®, he also developed MicroBase PlusSM, the proprietary software and search-engine program that was, and still is, the backbone infrastructure for the company’s first service offering client access to the database, MicroBase Plus Subscription ServiceSM.
As the company’s CTO, Liggatt directs his team of Software Engineers as they continue developing the database and advanced data delivery systems using the specifications and methodologies that have set MicroDecisions apart as an industry and technology leader.
