MicroBase Installation for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7
There are two versions that may be downloaded - version 4.5 and version 4.0. Version 4.0 is no longer being supported and all new features are being added to version 4.5. Using version 4.5 will allow automatic updates as the new features are added. Using version 4.0 is strongly discouraged.
If you have MicroBase installed on a stand-alone PC running XP, Vista or Windows 7, you should go ahead and use the latest 4.5 version below. If this fails for some reason, for instance, you are using an unusual configuration, or an older Microsoft operating system, you may want to first call tech support at (407) 843-1550 before trying version 4.0.
Since the 4.5 version is installed in a different location from prior versions, in a Windows cache under Windows' control, you cannot upgrade in situ the 4.0 version, and this must be manually uninstalled from the Windows Control Panel if you do not need it anymore.
MicroBase 4.5 Installation for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7
This is the full MicroBase 4.5 installation file (currently revision 4.5.1.0). It is about 31MB.
Click on the link below to start the download. Depending on your browser, you will be asked to either run or save (Internet Explorer), or just save (Firefox), or the file will just be downloaded (Chrome). Select run if available, else save if offered and then open the saved file, or just open the downloaded file otherwise. Click through any security warnings and you may again be asked to run a MicroDecisions, Inc. digitally signed file before the installation starts.
After installation, when the product starts, your disk will be searched for a prior configuration so that your login id, password, license, product configuration and custom formats can be carried over - so leave any prior versions installed until the new version is configured. If a prior configuration cannot be found, you will need your login id, password and a license key. You can get these by calling our office at (407) 843-1550 if you do not have them. If our office is closed, please email support@microdecisions.com - this mailbox is checked at least daily when we are closed.

MicroBase 4.0 Installation for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7
This is the full MicroBase 4.0 (current revision 4.0.0.5) installation file. It is about 45MB.
Please remember this version is being phased out, so you should not use it unless instructed to do so by our support staff.
If you are running Windows 95 and Internet Explorer 4.01 (or later), this version should still work well, but we no longer support Windows 95.ssues - principally with screen and printer devices. We no longer support Windows 98.
Again, this version works well on Windows 2000, but you may find odd issues - principally with screen and printer devices. We no longer support Windows 2000.
Click on the link below to start the download, and save the file to your disk. Once downloaded, double-click the file to install. If you are a current subscriber, you can reinstall over your current version. If you install to a new directory, you will need to reconfigure the product - you will need your login id, password and a license key. Our help file MBWPlus.Chm is also updated infrequently with newer items. If you would like the latest copy, download the following file. Note this version of help matches version 4.5 and covers the new functionality in version 4.5.
